In the United States, there are currently 5.5 million young adults ages 18 to 24 who are unemployed and not in school. This multicultural talent pool of untapped potential is known as Opportunity Youth. Opportunity Youth are on one side of a widening divide that hurts America’s economy and communities. On the other side are 3.5 millions employers in need of diverse and qualified talent to fill critical entry to mid-skill level roles. This is the opportunity divide that must be bridged. We cannot afford to leave future leaders and America’s workforce behind.
